... THIS GAME IS HORRIBLE!!!!  Now I have to give props to the makers of the game for doing an original story set between Star Trek 2009 and Into Darkness.  Future Spock tells current Spock that the Vulcans need to find a new home so they check on this device called the Helios Device (*coughs* Genesis *coughs*).  But, the station is going out of controll, creates a rip in space and then the Gorn appear.  They bassicly look like Raptors.  They steal the Helios device and Kirk and Spock have to stop them.  Keep in mind there is no diplomecy, no political stuff.  It's a full-on third person movie.  It's linier and has lots of cutscenes.  You can't explore the enterprise.  One good thing is that we hear the Gorn languege.  Unfortunetly, anything that itsn't TV or the movies aren't canon.  The game is filled with bugs and glitches.  The AI program is a moron.  The enemy AI are a bit better.  They hide behind stuff (heads and tails pop out).  Later levels have the gorn use tactics.  The cover system is terrible.  Sometimes, the game thinks the cover isn't there and it registers a hit.  The platforming is terrible.  The game does a terrible job with the tricorder.  You gain XP and you can use it to upgrade your weapons.  The ship combat is bassicly an on rails shooter.  I give it a Fail.

It's great for a Gamefly rental though. I'm currently renting the PS3 version.

You know, I just wish they introduce the Gorn languege into an upcoming movie and a new TV show that would most likly never happen because the one in the video game is awsome.

I enjoyed it. The co-op action was fun, and the dialogue felt right for the characters. There  were a variety of missions and levels based around rescue, and you gained points for stealth, completing rescues, and sparing the lives of innocents. The XP system also rewards exploration, so there's no reason to claim that it goes against the spirit of Star Trek.  Also, the Helios Device was a source of energy, not a terraforming torpedo, so your complaint is invalid. The story is a little short, and the boss battles are far too easy, but for me this game has great replay value.

Thanks for helping me find my faults but I still stand by giving this game a Fail.

I think it's pretty cool just because it's a Star Trek game for the current video game consoles which is rare since most Star Trek games only have lame PC versions.

I got through it on standard-difficulty btw.

I am currently more then half way through it (I don't have the time to sit in front of a TV for then an hour at a time) and I like the game.  My only complaint is the comment s that Kirk says from time to time he is made to sound like an idiot (dumb jokes).

I give the game a 4 out of 5 stars
