A few good choices there, some I disagree with such as Worf, Beverly, Sisko, O'Brien and Harry.

Worf valued honour and loyalty above anything else and that deserves respect from anyone. Beverly though I admit she wasn't my favourite character, she at least added depth to Picard's character and their scenes were always interesting. Sisko I thought was powerful and respectable but I'm not going to argue this one too much because I reckon he's a "marmite" kind of guy. I thought O'Brien was good as a normal guy who you could relate to, you had other characters to be exciting and adventurous, O'Brien was just there to get the job done. And Harry I thought was alright, I liked his ambition and his friendship with Tom Paris, but I could understand any dislike to him.

I voted for Pulaski because she was just a clear effort to bring back Bones in the series, even sharing his phobia of transporters, and she made any and all scenes just painful.

Kes I think was interesting at the start but got boring fast, she just became dull and in the end they got rid of her using some psychic babble.

Neelix I actually didn't mind, but only in small doces, and I'll admit his constant happiness would've annoyed me if I was stuck on a starship.

Wesley was a good idea, a young kid who wants to be in Starfleet could've made for some good viewing but he was let down by the script writing. Shouldn't have been a genius, they should've just sold his character on ambition alone. Also his jumpers made my eyes bleed out of dislike.

Tasha Yar was just really underused, I don't know what they were thinking when they thought her up. Though I liked her death, it was so undramatic, much like her character. Also you gotta give a little dislike for the weird Romulan Tasha Yar that came afterwards - another bad idea

I didn't like for Wesley Crusher. Picard got it right when he first told Wesley to get off his bridge, IMO.

I have to go with Pulaski as well. Nothing original about her at all.

Wesley comes a close second to Dr. Pulaski!

I personally loved Wesley whem TNG aired and love him even more now as an adult. It may be due to the fact that Wil Wheaton is a really good writer and I find him thoroughly entertaining.  If you read his biography, "Just A Geek", it really gives some insight about how people jumping on the "I hate Wesley" bandwagon (mostly adults on the earliest version of the internet) really, truly affected him. He was only a child and people saw fit to bash him incessantly.

As far as least favorite character, I would have to say Kes.  She was quite boring. But the rest of them I have no problem with.

Oh yea, good one.

I voted for Kes. Never liked her to begin with, but the way she treated Neelix before she left and when she came back just sealed it for me.

Yar is a distant second for me. Happy to see her go, but she's definately no Kes. And while I hated Pulaski as a kid, my disdain has ebbed in the last couple years, so much so that she may actually be one of the best things about next generation season 2 for me now.

Why isn't Chokotay an option? I did not enjoy his character at all. There was a lot of bad and awkward writing for the character and quite a bit of missed opportunity.

Worf would constantly go out of his way to act like a rude-jerk to other people for no reason which doesn't sound very honorable at all. However, he's still one of the better Star Trek characters in general though despite that.

It's just that I've always thought of Klingons as being sort of hypocrites in that regard.

I didn't like Pulaski as a kid either; I just thought of her as an interloper who didn't belong there. But over the years, she has grown on me a great deal, to the point I like her better than Crusher. Her various arguments/discussions with Picard are the best parts of season 2. I also love how it takes her time to warm up to Data, and her doing the tea ceremony with Worf.
