Can anyone be so kind to post the average ratings for TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise? I was wondering which was the most popular show at the time.

HI TS ! Here is a link to an article on these figures . It is based on the Nielsen Ratings showing Star Trek viewers from 1987 - 1999 . So it covers TNG , DS9 and Voyager - http://www.trektoday.com/articles/ratings_history.shtml
It is hard to find these Stats on the Web . They are there , but I'm afraid I am too busy . I can tell you from memory , that those statistics in the link , continued to fall during Enterprise's run to under 1 million viewers during Season 3 , until when they announced Enterprise's finish . When they rose again during the closing episodes .

The Next Generation had the highest ratings of any Trek series - including TOS - by a large margin. It was the #1 syndicated show during its last few seasons.
TOS didn't really gain populatirty until after its initial run. Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise had to compete with a Sci Fi television market that had grown a lot since TNG premiered. And Voyager and Enterprise were on a new network that was not available in all areas.
