Calling All Model Enthusasts...Design Advice Sought

I recently purchased two Enterprise models, the Refit NCC 1701 seen in both ST - The Motion Picture and Wrath Of Khan and Enterprise B seen in Generations. I ned some ideas and suggestions on how not to mess them up while decorating them. Also, does anyone know why Enterprise B's sticker set came with the saucer insignia logo for U.S.S. Lakota but not the body or nacells? Any help is surely welcomed.

USS Lakota was a refit Excelsior class starship just like the Enterprise B, there might be some minor detail changes, like number of life boats or phasor banks, but over all they have the same body and nacells.
