Hi everyone. Me and the other half are currently going through all Star Trek in chronilogical order and were getting towards the end of enterprise season 4.  Now my question is regarding the FINAL episode.  Being as this is supposed to be viewed from riker and troi in the holodeck around the "pegasus" episode of tng, we are confused as to the correct way to view it.

Should we just watch it at the end of enterprise season 4 and pretend we don't know who riker and troi are?  Or should we fit it in at the end of the pegasus tng episode?   Neither option really makes sense as your left wondering who the hell riker and troi are.  Or if you put it at the end of the pegasus episode, then the whole insident is done with and therefore why would riker and troi still be talking about it?

Am I giving this to much thought?!

Just view the last Enterprise episode at the end of season 4. Otherwise you'd have to wait quite awhile to watch it if you're planning to watch all the TOS and TNG episodes beforehand since "The Pegasus" is near the end of TNG. By the way it takes place during "The Pegasus" episode not after it.

Are you including the Star Trek movies and TAS(star trek cartoon) in your chronological viewing? If you aren't going to you should.

We've decided to pause at a good point in the Pegasus episode and then watch the "these are the voyagers" episode.

Then finish the Pegasus episode when it's done.

What can I say?!   We're perfectionists!

I think doing that might ruin both episodes for you. You'll have to get used to the Enterprise characters again (a long wait if you're gonna go through the franchise chronologically) and the ending of TATV will get lost in The Pegasus.

If I were you, I'd skip TATV until you're done the rest of TNG and maybe rewatched a few Enterprise episodes. I know it's not really chronological, but I think you'll enjoy it more like that.

Just my two cents. I'm sure you'll have a good time whatever you end up doing.

That's probably a good idea. Though TATV doesn't fit in during Pegasus at all. Apparently, they forgot to watch the episode before writing the script. So be ready to be confused.

You're giving this too much thought. TATV is a bad episode whether you've seen Pegasus or not.

Watching These Are the Voyages in conjunction with The Pegaus would make sense if TATV were a better episode, but it doesn't really capture the look and feel of the Enterprise-D fully enough to actually be watched as a TNG episode.

Plus it's rather jarring to see that Riker and Troi have aged eleven years and put on about as many pounds in the course of a few hours.
