Chris Sarandon was absolutely 100% perfectly brilliant as Prince Humperdink in The Princess Bride. How to say this, though...? Something about his portrayal of Martus Mazur felt a little out of place.

That said, I recently watched Homeland for uni, and quite liked Mandy Patinkin's character in that.

Have you ever danced with a Tribble in the pale moonlight?

It was good to see him in Trek, but bad to see him in such a terrible episode. I think it must've had the worst pacing I've ever seen, it was bizarre. The first fifteen minutes were Sarandon moping around Quark's looking at a spinny thing... 'twas like some kind of Bukowski TV novel, down and out in Quarks with Chris Sarandon.

If you wanna know how to use the Sarandon charm/menace combo, see Frightnight. If they'd used him in that way on Trek, and in a different episode, it would've been much better. Shame.

Why does no-one in Trek make zines?

I remember him more for "Fright Night" than "Princess Bride". He does a great job as the bad guy. Playing a two bit con artist was a waste. As a Cardassian or a Romulan he would've been Awesome!
