DNA is the base process where sentient thoughts are contained. Basically the ability to build and rise above the frog pond unlike the rest of the animal kingdom.

If DNA was was given the ability to use computational devices the result would be something far worse than the Borg.

Think of Gozilla being able to think and build because of the symbiotic relationship between the DNA and Computer.
