this is for people who think that they should fix the time line. we don't care how its done but hte temporl agents must step in and fix the time line or at least the U.S.S RELATIVITY SHOULD FIX THE TIME LINE. YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT SO LETS FIX IT TOGETHER.

I agree that it should be fixed. I expected that the last scene of the reboot would be the enterprise going back through that red matter thing, and returning to the original timeline. Maybe at the end of the third movie?

The Relativity isn't well know, and for some reason a lot of people hated the temporal agents, so that isn't the best route. I think they should do something from within, like Old Spock could do something, or maybe the Borg.

I think the USS Relativity is so kewl!  That would be an interesting idea..... send temporal agents back and fix the whole thing!

But it still wouldn't fix some of the minor problems like age differences between the main characters.

There's nothing to fix. The new timeline doesn't overwrite the original one, it's a separate parallel universe created by Nero's incursion into 2233.

In effect, it does overwrite the original one. Any new films or television series we get now will use this new timeline, so it has overwritten it.

True Star Trek would have temporal agents realise something went wrong in the timeline and try to fix it. Or maybe Abrams' story will say something like 'temporal agents don't exist in the new timeline'. How convenient!

In-universe, it doesn't overwrite anything. This has been confirmed by the script writers and a bunch of other representatives of The Powers That Be.

And I wouldn't rule out another prime Trek production quite yet.

Spring is in the air! The new ST movie opens next month. And folks are still b*tch*ng about ST09 like a fictional universe destroyed another fictional universe.

Yeah for alternate timelines and multiple universes!
