The sad fact of living is that eventually, we will die. And there is a huge probability that eventually, something will come along and wipe out life on Earth, and we go the way of the dinosaurs.

Anyway, wouldn't it be good if there was a "bunker" that held all of Star Trek in it? I mean all the movies, episodes, etc etc.

Just an idea... What do you think?

That idea is as acceptable as any other, meanwhile the biggest challenge when data basing in the long run is finding a medium that will actually withstand the test of time. Most materials deteriorate overtime and as such it is a general problem for archive systems in the long run.

The second challenge is to have a resistant play back device that will also remain operational over a very long period of time. You could leave instructions on how to play back the medium (like on the Nasa Voyager disc), but since we're speaking audio and video it becomes quite a challenge.

Make it so.

Aliens would watch the episodes and assume that it's real human history. How funny would that be?

In all seriousness, I think that if we do make a post-apocalyptic bunker full of artifacts, we'll probably fill it with real human artifacts. Historical records, music, artifacts from all eras and cultures, etc.

Haha, that actually would be funny... There is a drive online to "build a Death Star" and i has already recieved over $400,000 so I'm not sure this Archive would be impossible.

And if someone wanted to put the more depressing information in, they can build their own bunker! In my opinion I'd much rather have some alien race think of us as the space- faring race in Star Trek than what we are toady, aha.

We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.
