I was reading my Quantum Mechanics with Applications in Chemistry today because I was bored and came across a single sentence that I thought was interesting.

When we see a reflection on a piece of metal what is really happening is that light is interacting with the metal and releasing electrons.

Pretty cool.

That is pretty cool!  I think certain metals have a special relationship with light, in that light's striking its surface can produce more light or electricity or other chemical responses.

I forgot to bring my Quantum Mechanics with Apps in Chemistry with me.

But just looking around me and seeing the reflections makes me wonder if everything in the Universe is not made of light.

Are we light beings?

Is that what we become when we pass on. When light no longer reflects on us the Universe returns us to the Etheral Light Pool?
