1.)TNG

1 AND 2 DEPEND IN WHAT MOOD I'M IN

2.) TOS

3.) DS9

4.) VOY

5.) ENT

In truth I like TOS, TNG and DS9 all the same. I like VOY and ENT much less than those three series, but I definitely like VOY more than ENT

Please keep in mind that I value each of the Star Trek series. Each one has its own set of fans. After all, one of the franchise's greatest strengths is in its variety. But if I had to rank the shows from best to worst, it would be as follows:

1) Deep Space Nine: In the lead by quite a ways is my beloved Deep Space Nine. To me, this show represents the pinnacle of Star Trek. The diverse cast of characters, consistently well-crafted and thought-provoking stories, impressive production quality, and fully realized setting all come together to form my favorite television show of all time.

2) The Next Generation: The first Star Trek series that I watched from beginning to end. I see TNG as the trial-and-error period from which the brilliant DS9 was forged. This show successfully set the stage for the events to come on DS9. In fact, TNG is part of what makes DS9 so satisfying and enjoyable. After the first two seasons, TNG really hit its stride in seasons 3 and 4, only to run out of steam in its later years. Still, I will always have a place in my heart for the crew of the Enterprise-D.

3) The Original Series: A true classic. Still, I think only about half of the episodes were truly worth watching. It's difficult to compare this show to the rest since it was the one that started it all. I have great respect for the original Star Trek even though I think two of its offspring eventually surpassed it.

4) Enterprise: I respect Enterprise for trying something new. Unlike DS9, however, this show was not blessed with beautifully written and acted characters to make the ambitious storylines worth watching.

5) Voyager: This series is my least favorite of the five. Occasional standout episodes amidst a vast sea of mediocrity. I think of Voyager as Star Trek's "underachiever." Don't get me wrong, this show had some fantastic episodes that equaled the best of the other shows, but that does not make up for seven years of poor character development, lack of continuity, and rehashed concepts.

1) The Original Series - Simply because I love the crew, the ship and the original story lines and that the characters actually have character.

2) Voyager - Simply because its how I got in star trek.

3) Next Gen - Is equal toVoyager, simply because some of the characters are cool, and the story lines are better.

4)Enterprise - Started off well, but had a very poor ending.

5) Deep Space Nine - I just find it very boring.

The 1960's look of everything just makes me not like it as much as the other Star Trek shows, but at least the special-effects were redone with CGI not too long ago.

The earlier TNG episodes look very modern in comparison even though it's 25 years old.

You're certainly not alone in finding Deep Space Nine to be the worst of the series. I personally have difficulty understanding that. May I ask why you found the show to be so boring? Have you watched the show in its entirety? If not, I highly encourage you to do so. If you ask me, it becomes the best Star Trek series of all!

I think in terms of quality it's,

1. DS9

2. Next Generation

3. The Original Series

4. Enterprise

5. The Animated Series

6. Voyager

But in terms of which I'd watch given the choice, it's,

1. DS9

2. Voyager

3. The Animated Series

4. Enterprise (tie)

4. The Next Generation (tie)

6. The Original Series

I had to think about these, and aside from the top spot they are still fairly interchangeable. But at the moment it's...

1. DS9. Just epic. I really love it. And besides that at least 7-9 of my top ten favourite characters are from this show.

2. Enterprise. Some pretty decent stories, which I suppose holds true for every series -- but at the moment I'm also liking their particular style of storytelling. Archer is probably my least favourite captain, but a captain alone does not a good show make.

3. TNG. People tend to seem as though they are wearing moral straightjackets on the show sometimes, but the stories are interesting and sometimes have some peculiar twists which I like. Also, I enjoy the idea of a more cerebral captain than the usual testosterone-charged action hero type.

4. Voyager. I have seen so little of it recently, and it used to be my favourite. But I have been less than impressed by the episodes that I did see recently even though I still have good memories of the show, and some episodes are still very solid in my view.

5. TOS. This is nothing against TOS. I enjoyed watching a few cheesy episodes recently. And I do like the original series movies as well. But as I've said before, something has to take the bottom spot and it isn't any of the other series. (Although TOS may be interchangeable with Voyager at the moment.)

1.) DS9

2.) TNG

3.) VOY

4.) TOS

5.) ENT (only because I've never seen any episodes)

I like it whe the conflict comes within, not an alien race coming and creating it. DS9 and VOY they have better story lines. TOS and TNG they just go to a new part of the universe and find conflict and then resolve it.

#1. STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION
It is, quite simply, The Very Best of STAR TREK.
TNG is so satisfying, too, and on every possible
level. It's as though Roddenberry had an epiphany!
THIS is how STAR TREK was MEANT to be ... truly ...

#2. TOS
It's the "John the Baptist" of this franchise,
paving the way for the greatness, yet to come:
TNG! Similar to how John the Baptist presented the
spectacle of himself in a loin cloth and eating locusts
in the desert ... TOS has all the CAMP you can handle!

#3. ENT

#4. VOY

#5. DS9

I agree with that. TOS was kind of ridiculous sometimes, also. Some episodes were really good, but others were just goofy. Take Arena, for example, or that one with Apollo. All those episodes are kind of weird.

Anyway, its REALLY hard to rank the series's. Basically my favorite is the one I'm watching.

My list would go as:

1. Deep Space Nine-Seems to me to be the most realistic of all the Star Trek's, but still shows the essence of Star Trek(Hope).

2. The Next Generation-The Star Trek I was raised on, brings back some good memories and had I think the best Captain.

3. Voyager-Just a little better than Enterprise, but not by much.

4. Enterprise-I really liked the concept of the show, the making of the Star Trek universe, not everything was there yet(prime directive and such). And I loved the episope Carbon's Creek-one of my all time favorites.

5. The Original Series-I like it, but it's hard to watch that 1960's cheesiness.
