Captain Malcolm 'Mal' Reynolds from all sci-fi series that i have seen he's the most truly human character and the least "galactic hero" type...

I like him too, though I'd choose Janeway. I know I wouldn't get away with a mis-behaviour as Coolguy325 might, but I've always felt she was the mother of her crew. You can never be unsafe with a mother. With good o9l' Kate, you know -at least- you won't be left behind..

I went with Sisko honestly as he seemed to be the most sound guy who was willing to do what it takes to win. And in a fist fight, I'd take Sisko over Kirk. Kirk was portrayed as super tough because it was a 60's show and he had to be the Marshall Dillan of Star Trek. Sisko just came across as the most balanced individual. Janeway is too damn inconsistent to me, and lets face it, she'd be the first to lose in a fist fight easily. Picard is too much of a diplomat. Kirk pretty much comes across as brute too much though I do love his I don't believe in losing. Had he not come across so brutish and Arrogant, I'd choose him. Never saw Enterprise, so can't go with Archer. Spock would be my alternate as he has the brilliance, but I don't know if he has that I'll do whatever I can to win. Something that Sisko and Kirk had. Sisko with Spock as first officer and Data as Second officer, Worf as Security, Obrien as engineer, Bashir as doctor, and Sulu at the helm would be an unstoppable crew!

Captain Sulu for me , being friendly and willing to help when the crew aren't performing at their best ! Kirk and Archer are like twins , men of action , love women and get impatient when things don't go their way . Sisko is too moody and introspective , can get depressed and negative . Janeway does it the Women's way , although generally upbeat . Mal Reynolds of Serenity is too damaged by fate . Martok is the Warrior's way !

Specify...Captain Archer. He is more raw than the other captains and knows the meaning of getting the job done no matter what.

You convinced me (though I still vote for Janeway for all her faults). I'd add for Sisko that it's safer to be with a Captain. supported by the prophets
As for Kirk, though he was my childhood hero, he lost lots of red shirts and arrogantly took way too many risks
I never liked Archer, he could be naieve and get tricked easily one time, and lash out on others
Picard is diplomatic and wise. His characteristics are consistent so he's my 2nd choice.
I never liked Spock as a Captain. Always thought he didn't have it in him. But he's the best 1st officer of them all

Well Picard and Spock are alike , both career officers , and intellectuals , which is why I think I hesitated when considering them . A career officer , by definition , is one who gives his life to the (starfleet) service .
And that made me think of some of the Captains we missed , like Riker , Crusher , Data , Worf (brother-in-arms with Martok , Sisko and Picard) , La Forge , and also Chekov !

Well I voted for Janeway. A woman's touch is always needed and she reminds me of a host always ready to offer you some tea or something.
Additionally due to the lack of numbers in crew she would always try to get you back no matter what. Better chance to get off alive in a hostile environment (or not at alll )
And you can always give it a try with Seven of Nine
Set You Face To The Sun
Your Feet To The Moon
And Follow The Wind

Yes, You won't have to ask for coffee with Janeway. Perhaps that's my unconscious reason for voting for her They were always eating in "Voyager". I gained 4 kilos just by watching the show! They reminded you of food and drink all the time

I picked Sisko for basically the same reasons as the others did. He is the full package as far as Trek goes, and his empathy is always present even if he has to take the upper hand in situations. He loves Jazz and he liked baseball. Whats not to love about that! Picard and Janeway tie for 2nd. Diplomacy and Tack will get you far not to mention a great cup of coffee!!
