If Odo mimiked the way Dr Mora looked(hair, etc.), and his face is the way it is because he hadnt mastered humanoid form, why do the other changelings look like him?

The rounded-looking face probably uses less energy than mimicking one of another species, so it's easier to hold that shape longer. Same with the short slicked-back hair that doesn't move around at all.

But he spacifically said that he mimicked Dr. Mora's hair, and it's exactly what Dr. Mora's hair looks like, and the other changlings have no problem what-so-ever mimicking other humanoids for as long as they please.

Well all the changelings still have to regenerate, and maybe it's slightly sooner if they're pretending to be another species. I can see how Odo's look would obviously conserve energy and take less effort while still giving the basic "humanoid look" to fit in.

Also, maybe the other changelings copied Odo's look when they first saw him to make him feel more comfortable. The first thing they said to him was "welcome home" after all.

I was wondering the same thing. If he modeld himself of Dr. Mora, why did every other changling look that way. UninvitedGuest brings up a good point. I thought that for a while. But then, why did they look that way when Odo wasn't around?

That non-founder changeling that Odo ran into during season 7 looked a lot different than him if I remember correctly. Remember Odo and O'brien were in a shuttle together, and he came in through a vent in the wall.
Maybe only the founders decided they liked Odo's look.

I posted a similar question a while back about the Changelings, and I asked, "what's with the faces?" I asked that because Odo states at the beginning of the series that he looks the way he does because that is the best that he can mimic a humanoid face. The other changelings however, can mimic them perfectly, as we see many times. So why do they have a similar look to Odo when they are in standard Changeling form? My guess is it was just the writer's way of making it easy for us viewers to tell a Changeling apart from the other characters.

It's a season 7 episode called "Chimera". Odo runs into another shapeshifter that was let loose to roam the galaxy like him.

The other Changelings imitated Odo's hairstyle (Dr. Mora's) to look alike him as humanoid or ether Solid.

People's appearances are based upon perceptions, so the Changelings probably appeared the way humans and other "solids" tended to perceive them, then were generalized from that.

Well remember that the second time a Changeling was seen was when Odo went back home. It can be reasoned that they looked like Odo at that point to make him feel more comfortable. Beyond that though why should they look any other way? Remember that they generally find "solids" to be distasteful. Wouldn't it be silly to put in an effort to look more like something that one finds distasteful? It makes sense that they'd adapt this look in order to put minimum effort into looking like something they don't like. The only reason to look like a humanoid at all would be to put other humanoids somewhat at ease because humanoids are used to looking at other humanoids, but from there they appear as they are to clearly show that, "we are not one of you."
