On the other hand, the Enterprise would have a whole lot more mouths to feed and supplies needed. It would be a lot harder to get it all the way across the galaxy than a smaller ship. Would it be easier to go around the world in a sailing ship or in an aircraft carrier? Well, if you don't have resupply bases every 1000 miles, probably in a sailing ship.

It's all relative. The Enterprise-D has power supply and stores designed to support a large crew. Voyager does not. It all evens out.

The Enterprise would never have had the same issues as Voy did. Other then the Borg!
Picard vs the kazon? LOL
Yes i think the "D" would have been fine

I think the Enterprise-D would have done better in the Delta Quadrant. But, then that would have left the Alpha Quadrant defenseless against the Borg, wouldn't it?

I am not an expert on ship classes, but isn't Enterprise a more capable of fighting class ship?

Last time on line was Dec.2012
Funny that everyone talks about how agile and quick the Voyager is.
Funny because you use words that have meaning on land in water or in the air.
Is it not time that you think of space.
Rethink this and then reply with in mind

the enterprise would have fared much better, it has much better weaponry, though its slower warp drive, 1/3 that of voyegers it would end up with far larger crew losses

I'm sorry but the Enterprise-D did not top uot at warp 3 "1/3 that of Voyeger's "
She was able to do warp 9.9 , the same as Voyeger's
Look it up and you will see for your self.

It's like that Zachdorian strategist explained to Commander Riker: How one performs in a mismatch is precisely what is of interest to Starfleet.
It's the same reason I think, that the movies had "only a boatload of children" to investigate the loss of contact with space station Regular 1, for example, and a ship with new cadets and no medical staff 'til Tuesday was sent to rescue the Elorian ship, and why Enterprise C went back to fight a hopeless battle against a vastly superior force. A super ship that easily kicks butt in every episode would be boring!
Y'gotta learn to play!

While the Enterprise D's size would be a problem at times (it's hard for a ship that big to go under the radar and alien ships would always assume that they were part of an invasion force) the Enterprise is more advanced in pretty much every respect and is thus the better pick here.

Well, Voyager is the clear choice here. If it appears that they're losing they'll just keep hitting the reset button until they get lucky.
