Janeway all the way! I have a coffee mug that says Captian Janeway is my Hero! Although I do like Picard and Sisko a lot, too....

Archer was by far the most human of the captains. And he probably survived the most hardships.

Also, I too would like to know why Ben Sisko wasn't included.

As characters I loved them all. But as Captains if only one were to save their ship it would most definitly be Janeway.

It's hard for me: Archer or Kirk. Kirk was able to talk a computer into suicide. Archer had this smiling, open mind.

Captain Picard and Captain Janeway are the best Captains for me! - Can't chose between them. Captain Sisco was pretty good as well

Sisko and Janeway had a lot of similarities regarding what they faced, being isolated most or all of the time and dealing with unexplored frontiers. Both willing to fight when it couldn't be avoided - even picking a few fights themselves when it served the greater good of their crews and mission.
