This looks fantastic. It raises goosebumps and blood pressure all at once! Pike's monologue rings back to the 2009 trailer nicely where he talks to Kirk about "being meant for something special."

Love it.

Looks like nuKirk is about to grow up.

I like the outright acknoledgement that nuKirk is considerably flawed and immature.

Again, I've always felt like, even though a lot of fans gripe about NuKirk, that the WHOLE underlying theme and point to these new movies is how much of a different life Kirk has had (and therefore his personality is somewhat different) because of the differences in how he was raised after George Kirk dies.

It sounds like Kirk's experiences in "Into Darkness" will continue him toward the journey that started in the first film, more toward the leader we knew in TOS. I love character arcs like that...

You know what really sucks? This was posted around noon today on Trekmovie.com and there are already 200 responses and comments to it. Here, at what is supposed to be the "Official Star Trek Site" there's 3 comments, two of which are mine. I guess people are too busy playing "TNG Alphabet" and debating about abortion in 10 Forward to talk about Trek around here any longer.

The new trailer looks incredible, I'm so excited for this film, especially with having also seen the nine minutes with The Hobbit. I'm glad we get to see a different Kirk to the one we originally saw and I'm espeically looking forward to watching him grow up and mature! I'm also really looking forward to seeing Benedict Cumberbatch's villain, seeing as we really haven't seen much solid footage of him yet. May 17th really cannot come fast enough

1) What url? I see red text behind him, but it's not legible and nothing happens when I try to click it.

2) What exactly is that website, and why does it want my personal information?

I had it up on a really big screen so I could read the text when it originally came up, but I'm guessing the website will be some sort of interactive virla campaign for fans that they can sign up for, and its definitely legit because the terms of conditions and stuff link back to the paramount website

Can't watch it. Stupid work computer doesn't have the updated Quicktime and I'm not allowed to modify the settings. Tried to find it on Youtube, but no luck. I'll watch it at home. I see folks on other boards and articles are really hyped by what they saw.

It was on YouTube a few hours ago, but now is is "no longer available due to a copyright claim by Paramount Pictures Corporation".

I'm sure somebody will repost it soon, though.

My theory is that he is an augment but not khan. Peter Weller is a ceo of the Cryo company responsible for genetics. My guess is that khan will be revealed either awake or lying in a stasis tube at the end of the movie and it will take us to the 3rd movie.
