I kind of think its Mitchell. The twist is he didn't die on the planet they were going to leave him on. They just left him and got away like they originally planned. He escapes the planet and seeks vengance. |

ok but this is a totally new timeline and what happened in that episode never happened. kirk probably grew up never meeting gary or they never served on a starship together. in where no man has gone before gary was kirk's helmsman and i think first officer. in JJ trek universe kirk became capt of enterprise right out of cadet school so i don't know how it can be mitchell. if it happens differently on what happens to gary then i'm ok with it but it cant be kirk.

Yeah that all fits if we work on the assumption that the first 5 year voyage has happened but I don't think it has.... Prhaps it's a wierd mutant child of Gary and Kahn though |

same day as the hobbit. the non imax theatres that have the hobbit will have the regular 2+ minute trailer while the imax will have the 9 minute show

go to youtube and search star trek teaser trailer japan and you should find it. the additional seconds that has the glass is at the very end of the teaser.

but then again i saw a pic of quinto spock with a fumanchu like the mirror spock. don't know if it is photoshop and i don't know how to post the pick here if anyone hasn't scene it. |

Don't forget we are in the JJ-verse. Bad guys might be good now and vice-versa.
For all we know, this is Zephram Cochran returning, bitter and angry, after being lost and presumed dead for over a century. With the help of The Companion (and lots and lots of lens flare), he as come back to take revenge on the society that left him abandon for so long. In the JJ-verse, this makes perfect sense.

^^ The avengers Exactly ! One of the scenes looks exactly like the battle scene in avengers ! Glad someone else thought the same thing takes place on earth and evil force comes here, sounds like loki and his minions of chitauri!

Loved the trailer. Can't wait for this film. Loved the 09 film, and I hope it to be as good or better 
Also, anyone else think that Alice Eve is playing Carol Marcus? I really hope so  |

That best not be a re-do of Spock's death as seen in STWOK. That happened way after the original 5 years, which I assume they are just getting in to. To re-do that scene would just be a cheap shot. Besides, Quinto has to return for the third installment (hopefully), or are they gonna go find a baby Spock on the Genisis planet, which wouldn't exist, new timeline or not, as the technology for that device would not have been developed. I'm confused. |
