 I'm currently watching this episode, and was wondering:

How long have we been following this alternate crew up to this point?  Things like this do my head in (to the point I feel like I don't even want to bother watching anymore Voyager) - character development goes out the window...

This was just this episode. The real Paris was demoted to ensign while on this crew he still was lieutenant.

Thanks, done a bit more research into it too - I did notice the rank, but I assumed he'd probably been promoted again...

Made me sad after watching this episode.

I was also thinking maybe we were following their trace for a couple months.

There must be their own stories since they were created in that class Y planet and they never came across the real Voyager during the travel.

The duplicate crew could have had a bigger part in the way the ST: Enterprise episode E2 impacted that crew. The Xindi was aware of two Earth ships and this could have been the first to bring that concept to the screen. But seeing that the Demon planet was partially sentient one would think that it had a strnger influence on its creations.

Based on Paris' ranks from scene to scene, I agree with you guys.

I really enjoyed the moment when I had to think back to that silver blood mess that I thought was a joke of an episode! Course Oblivion was a witty little throw-back that I didn't see coming and was WAY better than Demon. I think it was made thoughtfully.

As far as character development, you're right.. that false wedding was a dirty trick!!

P.S. -They needzta figure B'elanna's hair out... smh
