I'm surprised the writers didn't add something where Janeway acknowledges Neelix's fear of uselessness which was the basis for what he did. Yes, he would still get in trouble and and have to face consequences, but I would have liked to see a resolution of Neelix and Janeway in this manner.

Just my thoughts.
