I wonder how many TNG fans will go to the big theater in their hometown on Nov. 29 to see TNG?

I've been pretty much out of touch. This is the first I've heard of this. I'm not a frequent visitor anyway and glad this is the hub of activity for such matters. There hasn't been any advertisements that I know of on the weekend re-runs they schedule here in Atlanta. Do you know the previews or what skuttlle-butt or rumors says?

First I've heard about it. I'll have to check Fandango.

I imagine it's going to be a couple of season two episodes to coincide with the release of the re-mastered season two, similar to what they did when season one was released.

I went to the first one and really enjoyed seeing never before seen footage of screen tests and it was just so fun to once again be in a theater with other trekkies! Some folks did dress up too. I have to drive 90 miles to go see this new one but I'm going!

Well, it seems they're soaking this for what cash they can get out of re-runs. I ain't buying it. They can do better than that with a whole new series or something. The old stuff is losing it's appeal no matter how much they "pretty-up" the set. A new Bridge Crew with a good Captain and new dramatizations with good scripts and plots. Its hard to make a Star Trek series instead of junk. Imagination for something like this doesn't come from production-line thinking. Roddenberry, Spielberg and Lucas is as rare as as Eienstien, Newton, Edison.

A high polished, high definition re-hash of the same O, same O. New blood equals new series equals new motion pictures.

I unfortunately cannot go due to prior obligations on the 29th - very disappointed. Hopefully I can catch Season 3 and beyond.

I went. Was super excited but the night turned out to be a nightmare due to LENGTHY technical issues. Anyone who went to the showing in Burbank, CA knows my pain.

I went to the showing at the Regal Theater in Boston and it had about 150+ people in the audiance.  People cheered and clapped after every episode.  It was really cool.

My only complaint is that the "restored" HD video appeared to be very dark and the added audio was hissing.  Here are some examples:

- Picard's shirt is wet and Q walks up to him and waves his hand in front of his shirt and the stain goes away.  Watching it on the big screen last night, Picard's shirt was almost black and when Q waved his hand in front of him, you couldn't see anything. If you never saw the episode before, you would wonder what he was doing.

- Same episode, Geordi is walking down the hall with a crew member talking to her and the camera does a close up of Burton's face and the background looks pitch black.  It was like he stepped into a black hole and wasn't walking down a corridoor. It was very odd.

- The added in sections of the "Measure of a Man" episode were obvious.  If you listen to the audio when the characters spoke, you could hear a hiss in the background.  I primarily remember this when Palaski mentions somehting about dirt farming and when Riker & Troi are talking about if Troi feels anything in Data.

In the end, it was an awsome experience and it was a great marketing campaign.  I'm still amazed that after 25 years, people still come out to see this.  It really proves that Star Trek is timeless.

I really hope that it was just the movie theater film/projectors that made it so dark

I completely let this slip past me, I forgot all about it. Maybe a burst of previews may have alerted more people. but I guess it wasn't cost effective when you deal with these national networks.   ,,
