>Let's make a small version of our weapon to destroy Earth and test it on..... Earth...... We are a smart high technological society but we could not figure out that there would be a response..... THAT was poorly written. The rest of the Xindi arc was great and fun to watch.

Hard to argue the point you made, could have chosen a planet in the expanse and Earth would have no clue what was coming.

The Xindi Reptillians were one of the best concived Alien agressors in Star Treks history, im almost as fond of them as the Klingons, but they realy were handled poorly, anything was better than the Suliban but the Xindi Reptillians as a stand alone threat with the other races as subordinates would have given a impetus for the series.

I thought it was an excellent "trial by fire" for the Enterprise crew. They were pushed to extremes that we never saw on other shows. The decision they had to make in "Damage" was genuinely heartbreaking, and it made me mad for all the right reasons. What made the "search and destroy" mission a Star Trek story was the fact that they found allies among their supposed enemies, and together they solved the mystery of the expanse, which was involved exploration and adventure rather than simply battle.

I'd say that this season of Enterprise pushed the starfleet crew to their limits like what the movies and DS9 did when they fought against the the klingons, the borg and the Dominion. It's shows that there will always be enemies every where no matter what happens in future.

You have to wonder what would have happened with Trip and T'pol if not for events during the Xindi arc.

This is true, although it was a bit refreshing to see some variation within a species, unlike in the past where an entire culture was all the same.

I enjoyed it when it aired. But find them too dark to watch now. And a lot of stuff doesn't make much sense

They probably figured, "if we wipe out 7 million with the probe, that might be enough to change the future even if we don't end up destroying the planet". Remember, humanity was supposedly going to destroy New Xindus in the 26th century. 7 million deaths in 2253 can change a lot of things over 400 years.

I'm watching it for the first time and I just saw the episode where they captured and detonated the second Xindi protoype weapon. Great stuff =}
