I suppose never say never, but this doesn't exactly have me running to grab a movie ticket. That's more of a "no, thanks" than a "yes, please" -- to put it mildly.

Nobody besides hardcore fans would see it or care.
The thing that made the MV work was the fun of seeing well known and established characters portrayed in a different light. It works much better as a mid-run TV episode than it ever would as a movie.
So, I'd say no to that idea.

I could see the mirror universe as a subplot device in a third or forth film in the new timeline, but as Vger23 said, the cast needs to be well established, and it can't be a departure completely from the expected continuity. It does work as a special little break in the existing series' (though I think DS9 over did it), but not so much as a film.
Especially considering Abrams seems to be taking his sweet time. 2009, 2013... so we wont see another film in the main continuity until 2021? No thanks.

To be honest, wouldn't care for a mirror universe episode. I turn to Trek for good and noble people. Seeing their "evil twins" in any of the shows was always difficult for me.
Want a mirror universe? Turn on the news.

Well perhaps but there is no such thing (really) as hereditary guilt -- so while they may have had it coming, the Terrans by the 24th century have done nothing to deserve the position they find themselves in. I guess this is pretty tangential and probably better fare for another thread.

The MU is a secondary universe -- it depends on the regular one. There would have to be some crossover to the normal universe for a show or movie set in the MU to work, otherwise it would just be a scifi movie in a crapsack universe full of sadists in black leather. Which might appeal to some people, but it would be no different from Mad Max in space, and not really a Star Trek movie.

HAHA Mad Max in Space! Could you just imagine?
Not exactly unappealing.... lol
Ok but you're right -- aside from how squeefully cool that sounds on the outside, it's not really the kind of thing that would work for a Star Trek movie. Another way of putting it might be: The MU is basically a tool that the writers use to play with established characters in a different way, with varying degrees of success.
