An uninhabitable new planet may have habitable neighbors--only 4 lightyears from Earth!

And, planethunters found a more-distant planet with 4 stars (suns) around it.  That would be a difficult calendar to figure out!

So I’ve heard.  Only down side, its more hotter then the earth. But it’s a dry heat.

We could use a warp drive right about now.  I wonder what else is in that system...

And couldn't they have given it a better name? It's the closest (so far) exoplanet to Earth! Give it a name that's memorable, like Osiris or something.

Unfortunately, the name "Hades" has already been taken!

I will have to propose this theory for life existing in our galaxy.

I think that finding a second habitable planet close to Earth and not far off is a very good possibility.

If you think about it Earth has life on it. This means that the Earth is part of a Milk Way Habitable Zone that just like Earth the Zone would need to be a certain distance from the galatic center. To close and the radiation renders all life, that we think about obsolete. To far away and the radiation of the galatic center renders a world to cold to sustain life yet may contain large amounts of water.

If one were to plot Earths location in the Milky Way around the galatic center and then correlate an overlay of the habitable zone that Earth resides  over the Milky Way adjusting the habitable zone to coincide with the radiation from the galatic center based upon the amount of radiation that Earth receives on daily basis then we can create a habitable zone within the Milky Way.

"Got it?"

....

"Hmm."
