First post in the forum. My thoughts on the topic..

I think the best chance for a new series is the era covered by the prequel star Trek. The new crew had an edgy feel and the producers took more risks.

That's the point. And please: Though Star Trek has always been a show with action elements, it seldomely used action for action's sake (Yes, I know, there were some DS9 shows...) So don't make a pure actionmovie featuring some characters with popular names but without any personality.  And yes, I think light flares look cool, too.

Some of the problem was the way the show went in terms of story. some ofit was fatigue.

One huge factor was that if anyone remembers it was on UPN or something and that the potential viewers that didnt get that channel wouldn't know where to watch it or it was moved around.

but yup they did not bring it the way they should have and lost people

I would fund the hell out of an ENTERPRISE kickstarter for a new season or a movie.  Please Paramount/CBS, take my money and bring me more ENTERPRISE!

I love Enterprise and was annoyed when we didn't get to hear the final speech

But I think a return would ruin it.

Having watched ST in all its forms since 1969 there can't be much I don't know about it.I can watch the last episode of 'Enterprise' and hate it for the way the hard-working Actors were treated as mere Holodeck representations ,or love it for the way it was done, depending on my mood at the time. We all know it was a disgraceful way to end a marvellous programme which had entertained us for so long. As we are still talking about it that should explain the depth of feeling of fans throughout the world. As for bringing it back? I think the decision to cancel was an irretreivable mistake. The new film by JJ Abrams was superb and showed tremendous knowledge of what ST is about, and WAS about in the early years as well as now. Lets hope the next one doesn't spoil that.(remember the daft bits in 'the motion picture'?) So- TV Execs-have some respect for longtime fans as well as new ones in future and consult before you cancel. And try to replicate the feelings from the Abrams film. He is obviously a fan himself or a very clever person who knows his market. Remember DeForest Kelley once said that Star Trek was all about 'Startrek moments'. True fans, and that means nearly all, will know what that means! Thanks.

I would also love to see Enterprise come back but I do not believe it is going to happen. I get the feeling that anything that we get from now on, rather it be in movies or television, live action or animated will take place in the new universe which is not a bad thing. I also enjoyed the J.J. movie and now that we have this universe maybe it should be fleshed out a little more instead of depending on one movie every three or four years. However I do wish that Enterprise would have lasted seven seasons just like TNG, DS9 and VOY did. And by the way, I loved the third season.

Enterprise is said and done.  We just need a new ANYTHING @ this point.  I'd like to see a series based on what happens OUTSIDE the eyes of the Federation.  Let's see what the Borg are up to, or the Romulans, or even what mischeif Q is up to all this time.  There are WHOLE other worlds that need more plotting.  Please don't tell me the writers can ONLY focus on what the HUMANS are doing.  Let's get some imagination rolling.   :-D

I think they should make a movie about Enterprise. One where Trip doesnt die. A movie that finishes off theseries in a good, complete way. And it should have all the original actors in it, and dont they dare bring any of those teen actors on it. IF they can do that, all could be well in that area again.
