In Enterprise-B series, Capt. Harriman wouldn't be Captain anymore. I would have a ships' captain to be strong willed and diplomatic. Harriman doesn't make the cut. A captain of the Enterprise would have to be a soldier as well as a diplomat and have the ability to keep the peace.

In the Enterprise-B series, there will always be "the Old Guard" on both sides of the Federation-Klingon sides of the border, while both governments would do their bests to keep the peace.

I think Harriman could end up being a good Captain. In the Star Trek book, 'The Captain's Daughter' we learn much more about John Harriman and how it was mosly his dad, 'Black Jack' Harriman that pushed for John and the Enterprise-B to take Kirk, Scotty and Chekov on that media tour before the ship and crew were really ready to ship out.
I thought it was quite an interesting look into John Harriman and explained some things that happened during the movie, Star Trek Generations.
I think that maybe a series about Enterprise B and her crew could work. It would have to be done right, though. It would be neat to see how Harriman delt with the aftermath of Kirk 'dieing' on his watch. And to see Demora Sulu live in her father's shadow. If done right, it could be quite an excellent ride

Can anyone imagine what Deep Space Station K-7 would look like in this series? Probably the same or a little different.

As much as I'm not fond of the character.... Pavel Checkov might be okay. In the books, he actually goes all the way up to being CINC of Starfleet and was the captain of three different starships, so why not the Enterprise.
The other person I thought of was Leonard James Akaar (after the USS Wyoming) although the dates might not work out.
You might want to take a look at Memory Beta - http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/USS_Enterprise_(NCC-1701-B)

In the Enterprise-B series, the Deep Space Trade Station K-7 would have a few appearances with, of course, a few Federation Bureaucrats bickering over Shermans' Planets and making a ruckus over something small as well as being the usual nit-wits.
