I would love to see a series based on the Enterprise-B. It would take place in the lete 23rd century and the Kitomir Accords is still in its infancy and both sides of the Federation and the Klingon Empire would still have the Old Guard i.e. both side have member that still hate each other. The Constitution class ship has been de-commissioned but there are still Constitution class ships still on mission when they received the order from Starfleet. The Romunlans would still be involved to break up the treaty with Romulan sympathizers within the Klingon Empire. What do you think?

It'd be interesting. Of course, they'd have to find a way to work around Alan Ruck, but they could do it. I'd love to see the Excelsior on the screen.

The Enterprise-C, however, has the best area to work with. So little is known about the time in between The Undiscovered Country and the start of The Next Generation. I wouldn't like to see a ship set on the Enterprise-C in this time, because we all know what's going to happen, but I'd like to see it set on another ship.

Why get rid of him? Why not showing some years later in his career, much more comfortable in command.

I liked Ruck's character. It was a relatable character, like if you took an everyday Joe and sat him in that situation.

I''ve been saying for a while how cool it would be to have an animated show set in this era, between TUC and TNG.

Captain Estaban was another jerk.  Star Trek seems to put captains in charge that make Kirk look even more great in comparison.  Captain Harriman just fits the same bill.

I don't know, Vulcan Lady. Commodore Decker and Wesley seemed like competent starship captains to me.

Well, so was Captain Terrell.  I didn't mean all the time.  But Captain Kirk took risks, and Estaban was too worried about his own reputation.  Kirk would have jumped at the chance to see if Spock was alive.

Captain Harriman was making bad judgements, and the problems could not be solved until Kirk took over.

Captain Decker was there to be an equal, and Kirk and Decker eventually learned to work together.

Commode Wesley was an equal, too, but he wanted to destroy the Enterprise and the M-5, and it took Captain Kirk to figure out how to trick the M-5.  Of course, Wesley was not in a positon to do anything about the M-5, but the story was more exciting when Kirk finally defused it.

Sorry to interrupt the discussion about The Enterprise B.

Commodore Wesley took the only logical course of action after the M-5 Computer attacked and crippled the USS Excalibur, and killed all hands aboard. He didn't want to destroy the Enterprise, but he had to.

Anyway, we didn't get to see enough of Captain Harriman for me to make a vaild judgement of his command skills. He obviously wasn't expectng a rescue mission on a voyage that would only take them to Pluto and back to give some fan-fare to Kirk and the rest.

It could certainly work. I would love to see a series in either that era, the 2340s, or the 2380s.

In the Enterprise-B series, we've got to have Kang and Koloth as well as Kor working with the Starfleet to honor the Khitomer Accords to try to keep the peace and maintain the treaty. The Romulans would do their best to disrupt the peace treaty.
