To those who watched who do you think came out the winner of the first debate?
Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

Thanks for adding nothing. If you didn't really care you didn't have to post anything.
Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

I've been a supporter of Obama, but after the debate, I felt more confidence for the future with Romey. Obama almost appeared fearful of Romey.

Didn't watch the debate, but caught the news recap after. I do have to say that Obama seemd to be looking down a lot. He looked really nervous.
Romney seemed fairly comfortable. And from what I've read on facebook, Leher seemed at times nervous, scared and at other times okay.
Bill Maher said on his facebook page last night;

What's absolutely funny is the lamestream propoganda machine's reaction to the debate - they were in quite a shock that their MESSiah did as poorly as the rest of us expected. And Chris Matthews was almost in hysterics - it looked like he was about ready to cry.
And then Rachel Maddow & Ed Schultz lamenting by saying, “I’m disappointed,“ Obama was ”off his game,“ and ”I was absolutely stunned tonight”, etc...

What I found most interesting is that the Constitution was mention only once. It was mentioned when Romney answered about the role of government. I am surprised it was even mentioned at all.

It was obvious that Romney was confident in his facts and vision for the future.
It was also obvious that President Obama could not defend his policies or their impact horrific impact on America.
Romney 1, President Obama -0

Romney was very confident and had his facts. I also agree with his ideas.
I'm much more impressed with him than I thought I would be.
Obama was not at all prepared to defend his own policies and that scares the heck out of me. I feel now more than ever that he means well, but has no clue what he's doing.

I have to agree with the person above. I seem to be wavering toward Romey for the time being.

I would have liked to see it with the candidates from the other parties there too. Then at least we might have had some opposing ideas.

Very bad night for Bammer.
Prominent Democrats are blasting his performance:

/82000.html Obama's own aide called last night a victory for Mittens. Obama's campaign is asking the media to help them go after Mitt: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2212961/Presidential-debate-2012-Mitt-Romney-celebrates-Obama-aide-admits-defeat.html?openGraphAuthor=%2Fhome%2Fsearch.html%3Fs%3D%26authornamef%3DToby%2BHarnden%2BIn%2BDenver&videoPlayerURL=http%3A%2F%2Fc.brightcove.com%2Fservices%2Fviewer%2Ffederated_f9%3FisVid%3D1%26isUI%3D1%26publisherID%3D1418450360%26playerID%3D72484359001%26domain%3Dembed%26videoId%3D&hasBCVideo=true&BCVideoID=1878328270001 Even the Washington Post mentioned last night could have changed the campaign: http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/decision2012/romney-obama-debate-could-be-pivot-point-in-campaign/2012/10/03/74fad02c-0d98-11e2-bd1a-b868e65d57eb_print.html Bammer needs to channel some of that energy from 2008.

I doubt the debates matter to the majority of people - most vote party line without thinking. (And many just vote for the person who says that they'll give them the most "free" stuff.)

Obama was struck dumb by Romney's skill and knowledge. Romney looked ready to lead while Obama looked ready to get the heck out of there.
