Hello everyone,
I'm sorry it has been a while since my last post; I have been trying to get caught up with things and to fix some computer issues. I have some more time at the moment so I decided to post. Thanks to a couple of new-found friends for reminding me kindly. Does anyone else wish there were more smileys to choose from than the blue aliens? LOL. Anyways, I hope everyone is well and enjoying life and the board. I'm going to quickly look at the rest of the forums and hopefully earn some new friends. I have the Star Strek Online game, free download version. Is there any difference between that and what is for purchase at stores? I hope it can be played offline too, just in case I need time to level up first. The game looks really cool! How many here play it? Is there a forum so that people can talk about the game afterwards, or is that considered unsafe? I know that sometimes it is on other online game boards. In fact, when I signed up for the game it mentioned that I shouldn't give my screen name or registered name, or someting out. I forget which, LOL. Anyways, I hope to find time to play this weekend.
Have fun and take good care of yourselves!

Hi Z@n3 ! Star Trek Online is no longer owned by Cryptic Studios , but by Perfect World . I believe it was a seamless changeover . So you should still be able to use the purchased disc , although you will probably have to re-register . Anyway , you can get to the website here - http://sto.perfectworld.com/
Yes , Star Trek seems to have regressed - basic icons !

Welcome back! And welcome to Star Trek Online as well! It's a nice game, I play it a lot.
There is a STO forum where the devs and players discuss things: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/
If you need any help with the game that you can't answer through the forums, check out STOwiki.org or even my own help thread. Between those three rescources, I'm sure you'll find everything you need.
Good luck!
