does anyone know if there will ever be a ds9 movie?

Thanks. I would love to see a movie even straight to vid. DS9 is my fav.

Play the books in your head.  That's the best we can hope for.

Actually the closest thing to a movie is probably "Way of the Warrior" on DVD, because it has that larger-than-life action, characters essentially being introduced to Worf, and it has the length of a movie. That's probably your best bet -- watching it is very much like watching a DS9 film.

Here's an idea. Why doesnt Paramount do what JMS has tried to do with B5? Give us, the fans the annual or semi-annual TV movie? They could update the characters, start new plot lines, go forward or back in time, or introduce newideas entirely!

With their fanbase, it's bound to kill in the TV rateings, and sell like hell on DVD. What do ya' think?

^ I think The Pretender tried to do something similar and they'd pretty well ruined the series by the third movie or so... Sorry I would hate to see the same thing happen to DS9.

The way they left things pretty well closed things up, the actress wo played Kira said "I thought we could have gone on from there, rigth where the last episode ended; but its got to end sometime, right?"

P.S. Corndogs came from a TX state fair, where they deep fry the grossest things they can think of, the last one i went to they deep fried cokacola, my favorite though is a Texas Turkey: a turkey stuffed with a chicken, which itself is stuffed with a cornish hen, all deep fried together like that

I too would want to see movie based on the DS9 series.
I guess that this movie will be interesting and dynamic,of course if sometime will be released.

I very like ds9 and i hope that this movie will be released.

Given how formula driven Star Trek is to the point of bringing back certain characters form the series regardless of what they have done since the end of the series and how convoluted a story they would need to have all the various characters conveniently come back together at the same time, and several other factors, I would probably need 2 robots to hang with in order to watch it.

Some offtopic: Now in the theatres  has been aired movie "Judge Dredd",maybe sometime will be show movie based on the tv-  series ds9.

I would want to see this movie. I like ds9 as a part of the "Star trek" universe.

Maybe after release Star Trek 12,they are will be making movie based on the DS9 or Voy.

I guess that movie based onthe ds9-this is good chance for Star Trek saga and that many people will be watch this epic series after this movie.

I very hope that paramount will be create this movie after "ST-12".
