No problem. I, too, like to see who the guests are. Especially the newbies.

Thanks so much for the update, I bought my Gold ticket the next day. No sense waiting I figure.
Booked my room at the Rio the day after that.
I absolutely can't wait and I think I will have to go in costume, like I keep saying, do it once, do it right.

Shame that I missed Shatner. They should so a themed convention...one year vulcans, next year klingons, then the year after that humans. I think that would be interesting. Unless it was already done.

Greetings and Salutations Fellow Travelers,
I have tried yet failed to determine the cost of the Vegas Convention tickets for 2013. The official website only lists a Gold ticket at $729, but I have seen mention of $50 - $100 day passes in various postings from other sites.
If someone with more experience could enlighten me as the the convention's true cost structure, I would be forever grateful.

A buddy and I got the platinum tickets for the 2012 Vegas convention for around $330. We should have done one of two things - either went for a more expensive package (like the Gold package) to get into more of the trek parties and dinners, or went for a cheaper one (I think the general 4 day pass was about $170). We had reserved seats for the stage, which were decent, but not so close that they would have been worth the extra money. You were supposed to get some sort of cut-in-line priviledges, but we didn't get that for the photo ops which were the only lines we waited in. Given that we spent time at the Rio pool and out in Vegas, we probably should have went for the cheaper tix, but are considering the more expensive ones for 2013 for the parties and such. Whatever you choose, you'll have a great time.
