Jadzia,they ought to have kept her for the entire series. However I suppose she left for a reason

No contest. Jadzia. I thought the whole atmosphere and dynamic of the show changed, and not for the better, when she left.

I loved Jadzia in the series, but I am growing to like Ezri in the book series.

Jadzia was by far the best even though i liked Ezri a lot too but Jadzia was strong, confident, beautiful, sexy, and culturally diverse. I would so marry her in a heart beat

Jadzia. Ezri simply didn't resonate with me.

I'm all about Jadzia. She's a good time girl, and I love good time girls. I don't care too much for Ezri, but I'm sure that's because it was hard for me to get over Jadzia's untimely death. She was so awesome, one of the best parts of the show. Ezri wasn't there long enough for too much character developement, if she had been I could have learned to like her. I don't think she was worthy of the Dax symbiont though. But I understand, shit happens sometimes, what can you do.

I preffered Ezri Dax to Jadzia Dax, because Jadzia seemed to be sort of a show off or something. And she married a Klingon.

Jadzia was a better-established character, definitely. Ezri simply did not have a chance to come into fruition as a character, but I thought the concept of a counselor on DS9 interesting.

As a side note: it's unfortunate that the show did not want to re-negotiate Farrell's contract. It simply expired, so her character did as well.

It's really unfortunate that in What You Leave Behind, there were no flashback scenes of Jadzia. She was very important to a lot of people, and the show and Farrell should have been able to negotiate a way to use some of their existing footage for flashbacks. It was unfair to her character to leave her out.
