Did the producers ever mention anything about it? I know it'd be difficult to do, how could terrans end up in a voyager like starship in the delta quadrant? Would have been neat if they found a way to do it.

At the time of Voyager the Terrans had no empire anymore and no ships. It would be hard for them to end up in the Delta quadrant. Humans were slaves of the Klingon-Cardassian-Bajoran alliance. See mirror universe of DS9.

Yeah I know, humans couldn't get there hands on a ship like voyager. I forgt what hppened in the mirror universe at the end of DS9.
Maybe they could have made voyager, the whole shit, get sucked into the mirror universe, maybe they could have been thown into the alpha quadrant as well, made it a DS9 mirror universe cross over episode either at the same time when bot series were on, or after DS9 and have some DS9 mirror universe chracters return for that episode.
They could have found some way to make it work, they've done crazier

I know I'm in the minority, but one thing I don't like about Star Trek 2009 is the creation of the new timeline, that will probably never be corrected. In this new timeline, the events in "Mirror, mirror" could end up changing or never happening, so Mirror Spock might not be convinced to cause the collapse of the terran empire. So could there now be a alternate mirror universe as well where the empire survives to Voyager's time and the mirror Voyager gets stuck in the Delta quadrant?

Draeden06, I suspect you are not in the minority. Many don't like Abrams's "cosmic eraser" that wiped out decades of canon. But that does open the door for a mirror universe, I suppose, in the Voyager era in the Delta Quadrant.

Spam bump.
Tuvok was in a DS9 mirror episode, if I remember correctly. Therefore, I doubt voyager was thrown into the delta quadrent, and since there was no terran empire, I doubt Voyager was ever even built.

There was an episode similar to the mirror universe, the Doctor is found on an alien planet, and sees the aliens holographic depictions of himself as a homicidal android, Janeway and the crew as a band of murdering thugs, with the men constantly at each others throats and Janeway breaking them up, and Voyager a heavily armed warship. However, these were the aliens misconceptions of Voyager and crew depicted in a museum by holograms, not an alternate reality.

There is no "cosmic eraser" - the Abrams movie takes place in a parallel universe that diverged from the prime in 2233, when the Narada came through.

the new movie (2009) startrek, when the Vulcin home world gets destroid Tuvoc's family could have been on it. causing tuvoc never to be born meaning voyager never gets lost!!!!! and all the people in the delta quagrent that they helped would never get help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats the reason i don't like the new one .

If you are interested in Mirror vesions of Voyager people one of Shatner's books had some in it. The book Spectre to be exact.
Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

As mentioned above, there's an episode (I forget the name) where a backup copy of The Doc is activated centuries in the fututre and finds that Voyager has been incorrectly represented in a museum as murdering thugs on board a battle ship.
For all intents an purposes, I don't see that as being really any different from the old Terran Empire, with the exception that it's not the Terran Empire (no midriff showing, not Earth & Sword emblem). But because of what DS9 did to the MU, I think it was a good way to go about doing a Mirror episode.
DS9 in my opinion reached into the MU box one too many times till, I at least, lost interest. So I'm glad VOY didn't try to work DS9's MU into the story somehow and just went for an alternate episode were Starfleet's a military organization, rather than not existing at all.

I think they tried to investigate what would happen in a mirror universe in the episode what the Doctor wakes up like 700 years in the future and everyone there has a terrible opinion of Voyager because of a war that Voyager got in the middle of or something. In the beginning there was an evil Janeway and evil crew etc.
