I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. The second Star Trek movie is not a rumor. It finished filming about 6 weeks ago. It's a certainty. It will be out in the summer of 2013.

Don't be too harsh on the vacuum of space...not every body pays attention or even knows where to go to find current up to date information.

I didn't realize something that came out in 1982 would be considered a rumor.

I can't confirm this, but i've heard Chris Pine will be playing Kirk and Zachary Quinto will be returning as Spock. It's all just rumor, though....


Also, the ship will be called....... the Enterprise.

Ahh, Kirk, my old friend. Do you know the Klingon proverb which tells us revenge is a dish that is best served cold? It's very cold....in space.
