Star Trek

I guess I'm one of those that don't have the patience. I prefer a story that keeps moving, and that one just didn't do it for me. I like it because it's Star Trek, but as a movie, I just can't really get into it. Even the director's cut with better effects and shorter running time was still a travesty as far as I'm concerned. And if they just would have shown Decker and V'Ger becoming something instead of just bursting into a ball of light, it would have made the ending better. I suppose it would have worked better as an episode, and I guess that's because it was originally written as an episode, but as a movie, not so much. But, to each his own.

I loved them both, but you can't have the movies without the series!

I have always been a massive fan of TOS but for me, growing up in the late 70's early 80's nothing matched the thrill and excitement of going to the cinema and experiencing the grandeur and scope of the next Trek movie. Each bigger than the last. The soundtracks, the effects, still love em!

Personally I watch the movie more often than I do the series, so I prefer the movie but I do love the series.

I love the series, but movies like the Wrath of Kahn and the Voyage Home outdid the episodes. Though the Trouble with Tribbles, city on the edge of forever, etc. were good, it had a lot of bad episodes.
