Its probably either some tool being a fool or a server problem or a code error or something. No need to get hyped up over a message board.  Just have to wait out the storm and let it pass. In the mean time just actually do some productive with your time besides be on the internet all the time. You’ll be surprised how creative you can be with any thing you do. Just go and get you’re juices flowing and enjoy summer while you can.

It's not a secretive board.  But the trolls here are not at that board.  I am also one that isn't too keen on having to join a board just to see what is in there, but I was pleasantly surprised when I did join STL.  Nice board, the resident trolls here at ST.com aren't there and we have fun there 

That said, I have seen other 'join first' boards that royally sucked the big one.  As some of the open for all boards, some suck the big one and some are pretty cool and fun.

Some 'join first' boards I will not even bother with.  A couple of them had told people that if they even went to the link to check them out, join or not, they would summarily be IP banned.  Way to get people to join an MB, huh?

Anyhoo, it's sad to see the motherboard in such sad shape.  It would be nice if Admin would give a hoot.  Or at least speak to us and let us know what is going on regarding the spam attacks.

Yes, definite correlation between spamming activity and flocking to other boards. May be cause and effect (or is that effect and cause?).  May be just part of the ecology of the internet. Hard to say for sure, although I do love plausible conspiracy theories.

lets just give this one iota of thought.  None of the satellite boards regularly being advertised here are big enough to attract members without startrek.com.  They aren't even big enough to show up high enough on a google search of star trek message boards that anyone will find them that way.  Without startrek.com every one of those boards would die a slow lingering death.  So why on earth would any board be interested in killing startrek.com?

I agree the op is being over the top melodramtic and disrespectful but find it pretty hard to believe he's the spammer.  Especially since when you go to the board the spammer is advertising he actually says who he is. 

oh, but he doesn't seem to understand why members aren't flocking to his board after spam attacks.  Proof he hasn't given this an iota of thought.

Vinegar goes where you don't want him to go. Cookies go where you do want him to go. Of course, if he is on to your game..
