Sorry but you are in error.
Enterprise may have suffered from a lost of interest due to 911, but its premiere was not delayed because of those events.
There were adds for the show dating as far back as Augest for the shows premiere on September 26th.
|
that's not the way I remember it.
but even so, that doesn't discount the rest of my post
|
then I suggest you remember it wrong.
Heres the promo that started airing in late spring/early summer of 01
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fnMidQ6CGk
|
and how would that affect the fact that people were perhaps not in the mood for a more vulnerable star trek? or that people were looking at their lives and the world differently?

I don't know what impact 9/11 had on the fans, but it definitely influenced the story. The season 3 arc was a response to 9/11.

Yeah, but continuity has always been an issue with Trek. Albeit, not a big one, but with a franchise that has been around for so long . . . There are always going to be continuity errors.
I was too young to watch Enterprise when it originally aired, but now that I've seen all of it, I am sad that they didn't go on for a fifth season. The Romulan War would have been awesome to see, and I would have loved to Shran come back as a series regular.

really??
you should keep those type of comments to yourself.

Seriously?
We're talking about the tragedy on the greatest country on Earth, that killed millions of innocent Americans, by violent, ruthless people, who think they are going to heaven for torturing and murdering innocent people who refuse to convert to Islam, and you're going to get offended because I called them towel heads??!!
Can you imagine what they call us? And are praised for doing it? They torture us, mutilate us, and violate our country...look no offense but people with your attitude are the reason why terroists attack us. They come in, kill us and walk out, and people like you will defend them, because their rights have been violated because they were called a name?!

Be my guest, call me whatever you like.
However I would like to specify that I was referring to the actual muslims who were personally flying planes into buildings and setting off bombs. NOT the entire middle east. I know many people in the middle east are peaceful people, but there are some extreme radical groups who think they have the right to kill anyone who isn't Islam. I was meaning to refer to those groups specifically. I should have been more precise.

Seriously folks enterprise was launched on UPN ON mostly a low power television stations across the country. It had no permit timeslot in most markets with little or no advance promotions. You never saw any of the actors on any kind of daytime or late-night TV shows to promote enterprise.
