My start-up, uFlavor, has spent the last 3 years creating the uMix technology.

uMix allows flavor to be shared over the web.  You can create a new soda in Miami and have it instantly available in Seattle.

We have 4 protoypes, so these units have become our own internal food replicators.

Hopefully we find the right folks to help us grow our business and share the concept quickly.

Trek has brought alot of sci-fi to life.

Just like the recent creation of the tri-corder that will one day be used in medicine around the world.

Earpiece- bluetooth.

Desktop, and laptop computers.

I heard on the radio that Israeli scientists have made a device like Geordi's VISOR.

voice to txt on mobiles (lol tried it with the lyrics to wild thing the other day and am still trying to interpret it)

We already got holograms, put those 2 together and you have an EMH!

We also have touch screens, wireless internet, Skype.

There's even computer software that enables you to talk (what you say can be typed onto Microsoft Word).

I would like a fully functional tri-corder . The closest i can see what we already have is a GPS/PDA.

I will say we are getting there with Androids.

For Star Trek in real live subjects I would like to know more about the way how ''classic'' earth became the ''federation'' earth. Is there a possibility that we as people from different countries could become one group of people. I am interested if this political and behavioural subjects has be looked upon a scientific manner.

Can we overcome vermin, economic crisis, violence, war as one big group of people.?

Would you know if there is more information about this subject?

The way it was presented in Star Trek, humanity was devastated by the Third World War of the mid-21st century. After that, the discovery of alien life forced people to acknowledge that their similarities outweigh their differences and so they banded together as a United Earth. Eventually that ideology was extended to other species, and hence the Federation.

Can that kind of coexistance happen in real life? I don't know, but I do know that racism, sexism, and discrimination in general have never been frowned upon more than they are now. And with all the communication that happens in today's world, people know most everything that's happening around the world. So it's conceivable that it could happen, given enough time.
