>How sweet of you LadyData to show your concern, a true lady...

>This forum has always been "cut throat" in many ways, you just need to not take such aggressors seriously, many of whom are drunk or on drugs...

>btw, cool name LadyData...

>

Thanks for the compliments kind sir  (Correct me if I'm wrong about your gender.)  I got "Lady" because lady was a formal title to address a woman of nobility or wealth in the Medieval-Victorian era in which I do enjoy learning about. As for the "Data" part of my name I used it because Data is my favorite character.

I love your username as well  Is it Japanese?

Thank-you too for the compliment and although Ayko does ring a little Japanese it is not, but it is meant to be international. It is as a long story but the short version is that it comes from my military days where I worked on a special research project that had to do with the eyes and my military brother suggested Aye as in Aye Aye Captain since I was leading the project and a Trek fan. I added the ko because it is the last part of my old nickname I cannot use anymore but wanted to keep alive, at least in part, if you get my meaning. Hence Ayko, original and cool.

LadyData appeals to me because I too love androids/cyborgs and I am writing a sci-fi story about a guy who creates a Data like android but female, named Susanna after his wife and resembling her who he misses since she died. He does such a good job that Susanna becomes sentient and falls in love with her creator. Later he has an accident and they try to transfer his conscience into a male android likeness of himself. The story then gets complicated, suspenseful and, well, you will just have to wait...

In any case a pleasure meeting you.

It is a pleasure to meet you as well  Your username sounds original and creative I never would of guessed it was a Trek related name yet personally related.

As for your Android story it sounds like a beautiful romantic story. Did you get inspired from the Star Trek:The Next Generation episodes, "Inheritence" and ,"Schizoid Man"?

I also plan on writing a Star Trek:TNG fan fiction about a female android who is like Data named, Catherine Evergreen, except she has an emotion chip and is a medical officer. She is created by Victoria Evergreen, who's a student of Dr.Soong at the time Omicron Theta was not destroyed. Catherine is a really close friend to Data except the thing is she has feelings for him but he doesn't know that since he has no emotions. She struggles to tell Data how much she loves him until she experiences a close death experience. I still need to work with how the story plot should begin.

>thank you someone who finally said it I know more people GOOD TREKKIES/TREKKERS who have left this sight simply because of the rudness of certain people on here who have a major superiority complex! It got under my skin so very much that I left and I have a huge tolerence for stupidity and illogical people, but it simply got out of hand here.  We talk of being the most excepting fans in the world but when it comes to our own people we discriminate based upon a number of posts on a website... NOW who's illogical.

>

You're welcome  I have heard the same reason from friends that used to log on here. So far I have not encountered much illogical people on this site. I never realized that the fans on here made such a big deal about rank.

Although my story could have been inspired somewhat by "Inheritance" I think if any TNG then more "In Theory" (Where Data tries out a romantic relationship with that blonde lieutenant) and "The Offspring" (where Data creates his daughter Lal). Actually it is more inspired from the classic horror novel from Mary Shelley "Frankenstein". In the original novel Dr Frankenstein creates a bride for his (male) "monster" to soothe his loneliness but the bride falls in love with her creator Dr Frankenstein and rejects the "Monster". The whole idea is actually a sub-plot to a sci-fi story series I am working on entitled "Planet Quest". Thanks for your interest.

I like your premise for the Evergreen story although it does sound a little like "The Offspring" episode with Lal. You know the one?

Oh btw, as you figured, I am a guy.

I always like a challenging challenge.

I don't want to be rude (since this was the topic of this thread), but 2 android love stories? To quote the Shat: Get a life. What's wrong with human (or alien) love? I do not understand how people can fantasise about falling in love with a machine, even a sentient one.

If i would make a guess (and i can be wrong), i would guess you are both single, looking for the perfect, not existing, mate. Again, no offense intended, just trying to understand.

I am married for six years now, still very much in love, and i would not call my wife perfect, far from it. Thank God, because the last person i want to live with is a perfect one, while i am not.

DS9 RULES!!!!!
