Who did win? 
I say Spock had points, but McCoy was just as effective in his input.

I have to say , it was a tie.

Hi everyone,Robert here, I'm wondering if any of you can recall an episode or clip of Spock using his Tricorder in the Original Series. I need something other than Errand of Mercy.

McCoy was the however rough appeal to emotion.

Spock was the unbiased appeal to reason.

They complimented each other nicely despite their differences.

You have a point, Spock's logic was McCoy's confusion as was vice-versa.

I would say it's a tie, for they complement each other!

Mostly Spock, but McCoy had his victories.

McCoy all the way. Sure, Spock won a lot, but it seems he made quite a few rediculous claims, like the "only logical act would be one of desperation" in The Galileo 7, which only convinces me that McCoy was right.

I think Spock won most of their quarrels. I have also the impression that Kirk was more willing to listen to Spock's advices, not McCoy's. 
But there is one situation where it was McCoy winning, and it was maybe their most crucial discussion - I'm thinking of when they both were held in a prison in "Bread and Circuses" and McCoy said this great thing about Spock being more afraid to live than to die. "Really?" was the only word Spock could answer.
Yeah!

People want to try and make Spock and Kirk a couple, but it was really Spock/McCoy, they argued like an old married couple.

Difficult to say. They seemed pretty well matched. Spock, in his cool, intelligent, and unemotional manner, seemed to have a way of getting in the last word. McCoy, on the other hand, had a biting wit which often left Spock in his dust.
