I posted this in the Technical Issues thread:

1) Quote the post that you want. (Note: The Captcha will disappear.)

2) When done adding your text, click submit.

3) The system will either give you an error or just go back to page 1 of the thread. If it goes back page 1, you may still be okay - just scroll down to the bottom of the page and see if the Captcha error is there along with the quote. If not, you're out of luck, but usually it is, so you'll be okay - just enter in the Captcha and submit.

that is what happens for me too

BamBam, I tried to quote you and for a breif couple of seconds I could see the quoted text and the Catchpa but then it said opening Google.com and nothing for a couple of hours until I finally got tired of waiting and went to something else.

This conputer is running FF.  I'll try the other computer that is IE later and see what happens

Captcha is the hero this forum deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Sorry my post wasn't suppose to be taken literally, I was merely positing a quote from The Dark Knight.  However it could be said that Captcha does help the forum in a few small ways; it allows for people think about what they're about to post beforehand for instance. This could help reduce many misunderstandings, or just plain delete things that should have never been said to begin with. Also its main function helps detour trolls and spammers from flooding the forum, of which I think most would agree is something we need a lot less of!  Besides having dealt with this sort of problem before on other forums I've found that these pros often compensate for the cons of having Captcha. Yes, of course it can be nuisance, but in the long run it greatly helps the quality of posts in the forum.... Well, at least somewhat. Not gonna say it's a miracle worker, but it shouldn't exactly be treated as an villain either. I will say that having it coupled with the edit feature is ridiculous though, I mean who else besides myself or a mod is going to change anything? 

Anyway it's all in a manner of perspective, just gotta look at the bright side of things~

Seems like there have been a few glitches happening this weekend.  Will we ever have a site that works like it should??

I seem to have to click somthing many times before it gets that I'm clicking. Tried on several different connections, different mouses, and dif. computers. Only have the problem on this site.

I wonder how low the post count has gone compared to what it was before the Captcha was added (sans spammers)

I think it was the combination of the spam attack and the captcha that did it

Had a feeling another troll spammer would figure out a way to automate around it using a script....

One would think that the system would recognize hundreds of posts in an hour by a single person and signal the Admins.....

yeah, new system seems to be a fail

And where's the admin???
