I have several:

#1: Ricardo Montalban (Khan)

#2: William Cambell (Trelane and Koloth)

#3: John Colicos (Kor)

#4: Michael Ansara (Kang)

#5: William Windom (Commodore Matt Decker)

Ahh, Kirk, my old friend. Do you know the Klingon proverb which tells us revenge is a dish that is best served cold? It's very cold....in space.

JK1701's list is very good - I'd add Kathryn Hayes as Gem in 'The Empath'

Windom / Decker is my favourite - a fantastic performance - Nimoy and Kelly were almost blown off the bridge

Thanks, CloudMinder2. They were almost blown off the bridge, weren't they? That's one of my very favorite episodes. The intensity Windom put into Decker and the single-mindedness of destroying The Doomsday Machine. It almost looked like they were going to have to phaser him to get him off the bridge.

Decker: I don't recognize your authority to relieve me.

Spock: you may file a formal protest with Starfleet command, assuming we survive to reach a starbase, but you are relieved. Sir. I do not wish to place you under arrest.

Decker: You're bluffing.

Spock: Vulcans never bluff.

Decker: No. No, I don't suppose that they do. Very well, Mr. Spock. The Bridge is yours.

LOVE IT!

Mark Lenard, both as Sarek and the Romulan Commander in Balance of Terror.

Lenard and Nimoy brought a certain nobility to the Vulcan race that no other actor(s) has/have been able to come close to.  I really hate the way Vulcans, and Romulans even moreso, were reduced to bad wigs and ridiculous v-shaped forehead makeup in all future incarnations of Trek.

I enjoyed Enterprise, but the overall depiction of Vulcans there was criminal.

I like John Fiedler, Ricardo Montalban, and the guy who played Sarek.

I thought Ricardo Montalban gave an outstanding performance as Khan Noonien Singh in "Space Seed" and Star Trek II. He really seemed to enjoy playing the character! And I also thought Mark Lenard was amazing as Sarek. I really really believed that he was Spock's father! He brought a lot of soul and heart to his character.

I agree with most everybody here. It is really hard to pick a favorite since most all did very well in their performance.

The standouts for me are definitely these though:

Mark Lenard
Ricardo Montalban
Michael Ansara
William Campbell

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

Lady Data, the "guy who played Sarek" was Mark Lenard.
