I'm sure this has been posted before, but idea for the last nutrek movie:

While watching the nuTrek on FX, there are two instances that would do 2 things:

1) forever establish the kirk/ spock bromance, and

2) allow JJ to return the the Prime timeline, while letting him make his netrek movies for years to come

nuKirk asks Prime Spock if he knew his father.  Prime Spock says yes, he saw kirk get the Enterprise.  these will burn at Kirk for years

nuSpock tells his father he wants revenge against the one who killed his mother (major mommy issues there, but we won't go there).  This will also eat at Spock for years.

The plot for the final movie will evolve around some effort, perhaps to steal the enterprise (a.k.a. ST III), or some other plot device, that will allow them to go back in time.  They may then go back in time to prevent the death of kirks father/ kill nero.  This could mean going forward in time to the TNG timeframe to help prime spock stop the destruction of Romulous.

Whatever, they go somewhere in time, and take out nero or prevent his reason for blowing up Vulcan.  This could result in the destruction of the nuenterprise or something like that.  at the end of the movie, we see the prime timeline as evidenced by The Original Series Enterprise (or something that looks much closer to it then the gull-prise.  don;t have to see the '60's bridge, just that famous silhouette.

Interesting idea; however I think there's been more than enough time travel in Trek as it is. Let's get back to exploring space!

I think she's hideous, but whatever. To each his/her own.

To answer your question: all the Enterprises die eventually. And I guarantee that if Abrams decides to get rid of the nuEnterprise, it won't be a quiet decomissioning. She's gonna go down fighting.

The new ship looks like a shiny Apple product, iShip. They just need to turn down the lensflare generators.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?
