Actually I must say that, while good, Star Wars was kind of overhyped for a while -- especially when Phantom Menace first came out; you couldn't turn 45 degrees in either direction without seeing some Star Wars thing or other. Well, obviously I exaggerate, but good or not, there really was more Star Wars hype at that time than one would want to see for any product.

Star Wars has always done a much better job appealing to the young. Nearly every boy, when he turns 6 or so, falls in love with Star Wars. They have the cartoons, action figures, lego stuff. ST doesn't usually grab their attention till they are much older. I think you get fewer long term fans that way.

well, i once was a fan, but, it got annoying, and Star Trek tasted better, and there are more sexy guys on Trek, and not just Hans....

and dissing Star Wars is fun....

May 4th turned out to be a terrible day for me! Everything went wrong, and I was disappointed in some of the things I had hoped to have happen did not happen for me. It was, therefore, one of the days I would just as soon cut off the calendar!
