I certainly hope he doesn't at all. I want an original Star Trek movie not a remake of the old one. There are plenty of compelling stories to tell without going back to the same well. Come on writers do something daring in Hollywood and be fairly original.
Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?

I don't see how they would set up the same rage build up. Khan in this time period hasn't carried a grudge against Kirk for 15 years and doesn't have the motivation to do anything so terrible to Kirk to induce him to scream like that... |

I'm hoping the khan rumours are false but if they are true, wouldn't this be a remake of space seek and not wok?

Yes, Khan has nothing to Wrath about. Kirk hasn't stranded him for 15 years, he hasn't even met his wife, much less lost her, and he hasn't gone cray cray with revenge fantasies while perpertually picking sand out of his no-no parts.

His wife was Marla Mcgivers, the Starfleet Lieutenant and ship's historian in Space Seed that was on the boarding party that revived Khan and later helped Khan take over the ship. She was give the choice of accompanying Khan in his exile or Court Martial. It's assumed that Khan married her. She died due to the Ceti eels.

Wonder if she's even assigned to the Enterprise in the new timeline. She had better not be- the coincidence of having the whole TOS crew there is coincidence enough. Do you know what I think would be cool? If Uhura falls in love with him! That would be a good conundrum for Kirk (as her CO), Uhura, and Spock!
