Irritating Cinema Behaviour

Hey all. Just wanted to share my pet hates when i go to the cinema just because it'd be nice to get some validation on my views. I work at a cinema so some of my hates relate to dealing with customers. I won't say which cinema I work in but it's in the UK.

One thing I HATE is people that jibber jabber all the way through the movie. If you wish to talk, simply leave the movie. Also teenagers that pay to get in only to mess around to the point that they are thrown out.

Another thing that gets my goat is when I'm serving a customer and I ask them where they would like to sit. And even when they can see that it is busy, they say that they do not wish to sit near people. Well I'm sorry Mr customer but this being a cinema exclusively FOR people I'd say your request is going to go unsatisfied. I could literally go on all night about this. Don't get me wrong, I really love working there. I get a free preview of Avengers next week so how could I not? What about everyone else? Pet hates at the cinema....Go!

Can't people in the UK sit wherever they want when they walk in the theater?  Why would they ask you to sit them away from people?  I try not to sit near people, but I realize that in a popular movie that's impossible.

If the theatre is uncrowded I generally sit wherever I want anyway, regardless of the seat I'm allocated.

Have you ever danced with a Tribble in the pale moonlight?

Just to be clear, in countries not the USA, people are assigned seats at a movie theater?  In the US, we buy a ticket for a movie, and sit wherever we want or wherever we find space.  Is Europe different?  Now, concerts and plays usually have assigned seats, but movies are open seating.

While I do make an exception every once in a very long while, I usually don't go to them as the theaters are dark and loud.  (Plus, two of us going to the movie is pretty much the same price as just buying the DVD.)

It is one of the reasons I like to attend morning shows during the week. I love the theater experience but I do not need a crowd to enjoy the movie.

My peeve is people who gotta look at their phone every minute of the movie. Come on if you can't sit for about 2 hrs with out being on a phone, don't go.

Are you sure it isn't time for a colorful metaphor?
