Seriously? Does ANY "human" ST character specifically mention his/her religious/spiritual affiliation? They may allude to the their beliefs, or speak about what they believe, but I can't recall any stating, "I'm a *fill in the blank* and attend *fill in the blank*."

However, as a Half-Jewish(Father's side) why NOT a clearly ethnically(Not Religious) ethnically Jewish character in the 24th century or After, like a Captain Samuel Goldman of the Federation Starship U.S.S. James A. Garfield, after the late President of the United States on Earth , I heard Admiral Bob played by Bob Bennett in movie Star Trek V- The Final Frontier was supposed to be a Jewish Admiral, and the Federation President in movie Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home- was a Jewish Human, Robert Ellerstein the actor was Jewish in real life

Okay, clearly we're dealing with a troll or someone who is mentally "fragile" and should not be engaged. I think we can all move along to more productive topics.

So seriously man; what is your issue with this?
As an attempt to shut this down and as an attempt to help you get over your own self-labeling; I will point out that you are not Technically Jewish. If your mother is not Jewish, then you are not Jewish too; sorry, don't blame or label me; read the Torah if you like.
Just realize, you are intentionally labeling yourself, incorrectly, and then choosing to take this ages-old banner into battles you are creating. Labels are a bad idea; religion is an old idea too; just be happy with being the glorious You you are; and say 'to Hell' with all the pointless labels.
Peace and Long Life.
|
I agree about labels, but just because religion is old, does not make it bad. Conider all the great things we have retained from the past, such as democracy, philosophy, and republicanism, to be specifically Graeco-Roman.
"We keep doing each other favors."
"Isn't that how alliances are born?"

goddies KILL babies (if as many anti-abortion people WERE actually anti-abortion then we would have significantly MORE children with Down's-syndrome and spina-bifida; etc.)
I'm not anti-abortion per se (if you don't allow abortions, then they will happen anyway and in significantly worse conditions.) But are you saying that disabled children have less of a right to exist? Because if so then I'd have to disagree quite strongly with that sentiment.

Okay I got ya. I misunderstood and so apologise. I thought for a moment that you were advocating abortion on the grounds of disability -- something which I am in fact against.
I think the most compelling pro-abortion argument is that if it were not legal, it would happen anyway. At least with legal abortions they can be significantly safer for mothers. And the only time I would even consider an abortion myself is if a pregnancy were to threaten my life (and by extension, baby's).
