Turtles don't seem to age like other animals. Their organs seem to look the same at age 100 as they do when young. Scientists are investigating this, for anti-aging information:

Also, turtles seem to be able to control their own heartbeats, apparently able to shut them off or slow them down at will. So, they can become as inactive as they wish.
