I am going to have to say I liked the theme song. It matches the attitude of the show. They were not exploring strange new worlds quite so much as they were making their first steps into deep space (most of the worlds they visited were already quite well known, excep for season 3) to see how far humans could go and getting their "space legs".

i thought the intro to DS9 was boaring because it was incredibly long and dull with no speech or vocals, but Enterprise was the shameful and painfull anthesis of this and was but FAR the lamest! I genuinely got the video footage and made my own intro music for it because i couldnt bare watching them all in a row with that song comning every 45 mins!

I actually thought it was the best of all the Trek series in opening songs. Just captured what Enterprise should have been.
A pity the show itself didn't measure. I did love how they altered it for the Mirror episodes that was just awesome.

>I have now witnessed all of the Star Trek series opening and theme songs. Having just finished DS9, I didn't think anything could be worse than the very long, very boring shots of DS9 and the worm hole. TNG was not much better. I cannot believe the theme song opening for Star Trek Enterprise. The show is obviously celebrating the entrpreneurial spirit of humans from an age pretty close to our own, but really? Country? And cheesy no less? I cannot listen to a second of it without getting the chills. It is the inconsistency that really confuses me though - yes, it is it's own show, but it just does not fit with Star Trek to me. Not one bit.
>Worst theme song ever.

I like all the theme songs. As to DS9, my little sister has something she says along to it. "Space dust, rolling ball in space, shuttlecraft, Star Trek Deep Space Nine! Deep Space Nine! Enterprise! Wormhole!!!"
Faith of The Heart is one of my favorite songs, and I find the Enterprise theme inspiring.
Everyone has their own opinion, but as for me, I think all the themes are wonderful... (okay, maybe not all, (the origional theme is kind of, well, old.)
Voyager DS9 are the best.

I agree that it was the worst theme song ever! I was actually put off from watching the show for a while because of that awful song. Just when I thought I couldn't hate it more, i find out that song was part of the Pacth Adams sound track. BOOO! Great show though!
They should have stuck to something instrumental.

"Going Where My Heart Will Take Me" Is A GREAT Song. On The Other Hand, I NEVER Liked Leonard Rosenman's Theme For 'The Voyage Home'. it Never Felt Like It Was A Part Of Trek Lore.

(Firefly theme song, I loved!)
I disliked/couldn't understand the theme song for ENT at first, but it grew on me as with the opening sequence/montage.
Reminds me of Big Bang Theory opening, but a bit more cheesy. No hate from me.

ENT themesong is my favorite out of all Star Trek series. Next is TNG 3rd season on, and then TNG 1st & 2nd season.

I don't think it's the worst. I like it a lot. It was different. Just like how the series is. A new beginning if you will

I think it was meant to be an upbeat, hopeful theme, to match the show's idea of humanity's readiness to go farther into the stars. Sadly, it was the worst attempt possible to be this type of theme song. In my opinion, it wasn't very good at all.

I like the theme song I think it fits the show. I don't see it as 'celebrating the entrpreneurial spirit' but as showing just how far humans had advanced. From our first steps of exploring on simple wooden ships to learning how to fly to exploring the stars. To me thats the very heart of what Star Trek is. Have you ever even listened to what the song is saying?
It's been a long road
Gettin from there to here It's been a long time But my time is finally here
From simple wooden boats to star ships and goes on to discribe the courage to go out and explore the unknown. to me its very fitting for a series about startreks first journeys.

I liked it, I felt that it was very fitting for the show. It is my favorite followed by Voyager, I have the full version of it on my phone. I can understand why some people wouldnt like it but in all honesty I think that is the best thing they could have done for the show in terms of theme songs.

I loved the song during seasons one and two, when the beginning was orchestral and it was less upbeat. I really thought the words fit with the ideas of the show, about going where your heart takes you, especially when you look at Archer's story, with his dad inventing the warp 5 engine and all that. The graphics would have been better if they had put them in order instead of just haphazardly stringing them together like they did. But I'm probably one of the few who can honestly say I love all the theme songs, and still think the original is the best.
Ahh, Kirk, my old friend. Do you know the Klingon proverb which tells us revenge is a dish that is best served cold? It's very cold....in space.
