I'll tell you this, any book that is printed in German AND English, the German edition will have a far more awesome cover.  Just look up the New Frontier books and Destiny in Memory Beta.

A Stitch In Time has quite a nice cover in both German and English versions -- the English version one being actually slightly better because it is a simple drawing of a scene, rather than the usual photoshop stuff that they usually end up with.

some of the old original fan written books made after Star Trek I, have beautiful covers depicting spock as a character, along with many other ficticious character. I personally like them much more than todays computer generated covers

I bought the novelization of The Wrath of Khan, and the cover looks really swell, the art is quite realistic. Although, Kirk looks a little to young and Spock looks a little too old. Hahahaha.
