The current poll pits the following episodes against each other in a battle to determine which is the best DS9 episode of all time: "Call to Arms", "Trials and Tribble-ations", "The Way of the Warrior", and "In the Pale Moonlight". My thoughts on each:

"Call to Arms" - fun, but essentially a big battle episode with an awesome cliffhanger.

"Trials and Tribble-ations" - holds up for its nostalgia value only.

"The Way of the Warrior" - battles, continuity, and character moments. This one is great, but I think that Trek is at its best when it tries to be thought-provoking, like...

"In the Pale Moonlight" - dark, gritty, probably represents the very essence of why DS9 is not your average Trek series. Do the ends justify the means, or not?

Those are just my thoughts; I'm sure many of you will disagree and flame me for shooting down "Trials and Tribble-ations". That's fine. That's the whole purpose of a poll: to learn what the majority of people thinks.

So what do you think?

Looks like Trials has a slight lead over it.
